Rooted in the visual language of emotion and memory, İlay Solaklı explores personal experiences through abstract painting. By using color as a vessel for feeling and inner transformation, she creates intuitive compositions shaped by free forms and subtle color relationships. Rather than imposing a fixed narrative, her works leave space for each viewer to form their own emotional connection.
“A Quiet Depth of Light” explores the subtle tension between balance and resignation. Organic forms lean into one another and intersect, evoking bodies, fragments, or suspended moments held within space. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, the work invites the viewer into an in-between state, where form gradually gives way to emotion.
